The time for the parade is upon us and this year we are facing greater financial challenges than ever before. Luckily we have a ton of great partners and a full slate of fun events to keep us going, but we depend on you to keep the parade alive. Danse Macabre: A Goth Night
Break out the black eyeliner, lace, leather, velvet, fishnets, funeral finery, and whatever else has been lurking in the darkest corner of your closet. Step out of the shadows and onto the dance floor for a darkly decadent night of music, dancing, and Halloween spirit at the historic Rockingham Ballroom, all in support of the Portsmouth Halloween Parade.
Dress in your pale and tragic best, whether your style runs Victorian vampire, romantic goth, punk, industrial, witchy, undead, or simply head-to-toe black. Lose yourself beneath the lights to a deliciously dark mix of goth, new wave, post-punk, industrial, darkwave, alternative, and haunting dance-floor favorites.
Embrace the darkness, dance for the dead, and party for the Parade!

The Rockingham Ballroom is a fun, social atmosphere with music volume that is conversational. You can bring your beverage of choice (BYOB) and we provide a healthy light menu to snack on, for purchase. Seltzers, sodas, and mixers also available. (No “bar” tab.) We have both cafe and lounge seating, and a game room featuring a pool table, foosball, and ping pong. Overnight parking allowed for folks traveling.
