Everyone is invited to dress up\, gather at Peirce Island\, and march. No sign-up is required. The Parade is independently organized – it is not a City-sponsored event. Angry Hill is a Boston-area rock band made up of three longtime collaborators: Keith Denehy (lead vocals\, guitar)\, and brothers Josh and Sean Roberts (bass and drums\, respectively). Together they’ve been playing live for decades and bring a rare blend of musicianship\, tight harmonies\, and original songs to every performance. The band’s sound is rooted in rock but incorporates influences from funk\, blues rock\, and other genres\, and they’re just as comfortable stripping things down acoustically as they are filling a room with “loud\, really loud” energy. \nAcross seven albums and thousands of record sales\, Angry Hill has built a catalog of powerful original material that highlights their range — from heartfelt dynamics to high-intensity rock. Featuring Kong Moon\, Replaced By Robots\, & Moon Snails. \n5pm doors/6pm show\nALL AGES | $15 adv./$20 day of \nBuy Tickets\nKong Moon are a Portsmouth\, New Hampshire power trio whose sound pulls from ’90s alternative rock\, indie\, noise\, and psychedelia\, moving between melodic\, atmospheric passages and heavier guitar-driven stretches. Featuring Barclay Ellis Close II on guitar\, vocals\, and keys\, Jason Probert on bass and keys\, and Dave Newman on drums and percussion\, the band has drawn comparisons to Sonic Youth\, R.E.M.\, Quicksand\, and Built to Spill while carving out its own corner of the Seacoast rock scene. Their catalog includes 2020’s self-titled debut\, 2024’s You’re Running Out of Things to Own\, and the 2026 release Enchanted Nights. \nReplaced By Robots are a New Hampshire trio built around Goolkasian of The Elevator Drops\, Heather Joy Morgan\, and Adam Wade of Funeral Party and The Uprisers. Formed in 2024\, the band mixes indie rock\, post-punk\, new wave\, glam\, shoegaze\, and electronic textures into a colorful\, slightly dystopian sound centered on the uneasy relationship between humans and technology. Their 2025 debut mini-album The Experiment was produced in part by Paul Q. Kolderie (Pixies\, Dinosaur Jr.\, Radiohead) and Josh Hager (Devo)\, establishing a sound that pulls from Bowie\, T. SUMMARY:Jumbo Circus Peanuts Halloween Bash
DESCRIPTION:It doesn’t get any more local than this. The Jumbo Circus Peanuts originally formed to be the marching band for the inaugural Portsmouth Halloween Parade in 1995. That parade started at South Mill Pond and ended at Vaughan Mall\, known these days as Jimmy’s back parking lot. For the first few years of the PHP’s existence the JCP played fundraising parties at various venues in downtown Portsmouth before settling in at the Portsmouth VFW Hall on Deer Street\, just a bone’s throw from Jimmy’s. There they ran off a string of legendary Halloween parties\, all benefiting the Halloween Parade\, before the VFW closed in 2016. \nNow\, some 30 years down the road and for the first time since 2018\, the two entities are getting back together for a very special Monday night at Jimmy’s with all proceeds going to the PHP. The Portsmouth Halloween Parade is a grassroots\, all-inclusive celebration of community\, creativity\, and free expression that walks\, stalks\, dances\, trumpets\, and drums its way through downtown Portsmouth each year on October 31st at 7 pm. Lauded for its creativity\, it was included in USA Today’s Top 10 Halloween Parades in 2023. Hundreds march in costume and thousands cheer from the sidelines\, it’s always a spectacle from either side of the curb. \nThe JCP will be opening their trick or treat bag of funk\, soul\, and horn-driven rock & roll for a night of dancing and revelry. Costumes are strongly encouraged. \nThe Portsmouth Halloween Parade is independently organized – it is not a City-sponsored event. It is entirely funded and put on by the community\, which rallies many benefits to raise funds to cover expenses of insurance\, permits\, and police detail. The parade is a 501(c)3 so all donations are tax deductible. \nTICKETS –  Don’t wait long though as they usually sell out!!! \nWe will be selling merchandise at this event.
