The 12th Annual (I Gotta) Rock Show

Monday, October 3rd 2016, 7:00 pm - 11:00 pm

Thirsty Moose Taphouse
21 Congress St, Portsmouth NH

For a more than a decade the Portsmouth Halloween Parade has been fueled in part by rock and roll. That tradition continues on Monday, Oct. 3rd, at 7 p.m. when the 12th annual (I Gotta) Rock! Show/PHP fundraiser bursts onto the stage of Thirsty Moose Taphouse – Portsmouth. As always the rock show means the unveiling of this year’s Tee-shirt design, the long awaited announcement of our Grand Marshal for 2016, kick-ass raffle prizes, and of course, music!

This year’s show will bring together many veteran faces of the Portsmouth Rock, Punk, Metal and Art Scene.

Bringing some sweet Prog-Monkey Rock to our ears are Order of Thieves. Rick Habib, Bob Lord and Jon McCormack continue to make our heads bob and feet stomp.

Followed by some serious Rock n’ Roll from our friend Tim McCoy and his Boston based band, Watts. Their recently released album The Black Heart of Rock n ‘Roll, reminding us all of what real Rock should sound like!

Next up, a band powered by Portsmouth punk veterans. One Man-Banned (formerly Outlaw Poverty), will make you question why you chose to wear those lame corporate shoes to this event. You should probably find your old Chucks… where are those anyway?

Our evening will be topped off with the always awesome, Sam Hill. Bringing you the Metal you’ve always needed, but never knew how to ask for. These fine gentlemen are perennial supporters of the Rock Show and Parade, regardless of the band name or music genre they happen to be playing at the time.

We are so grateful for the continued support of all these musicians and businesses. Thanks to you, we march.

A $5 donation will be requested at the door, as New Hampshire’s biggest Halloween parade is brought to you by the people, for the people. The parade is not a city-sponsored event. It is staged by volunteers and funded solely by the community, primarily through grassroots events. The Rock Show rises again this year thanks to the generous support of its sponsor Jumpin’ Jays Fish Café.
